It’s time to catch up on all the good book related news. Also there are some good trailers dropping left right and centre!
Unbeknownst to me, Maria V. Snyder released a new book late November titled Navigating the Stars. I loved Poison Study and am so excited to read this new science fiction series. George R.R. Martin’s newest release Fire & Blood is set 300 years before the Game of Thrones timeline. This book released November 20th and has already made the NY Times bestselling list. Outrun the Wind by Elizabeth Tammi, an LGBT young adult, fantasy was released November 27th. I have a review for Outrun the Wind on this blog if you’d like to check it out!
Also released during November:
- Michelle Obama’s memoir Becoming, was released November 13th.
- The Reckoning of Noah Shaw (The Shaw Confessions #2) was released November 13th.
- Five Feet Apart, a young adult romance novel, was released November 20th and is also being adapted into a movie with Cole Sprouse and Haley Lu Richardson.

After Movie: First Official Trailer & Look
Based on the book (and once upon a time a fanfiction on Wattpad?!) with the same name by Anna Todd, After is set to be released April 2019. I remember writing an amateur rant review about this book years ago, but not going to lie if this makes it way Netflix, I’ll definitely be watching it… Anyone else?! 😂
Les Misérables BBC Series: Official Trailer
BBC released a trailer of it’s adaptation of the French historical novel, that is set to be a six part series. I have no idea what this story is about but honestly when Lily Collin’s is attached, that’s all I need to know.
Captain Marvel: Second Official Trailer
No words expect; I AM SO DAMN READY! Coincidentally this releases March, the studio should definitely be going for a release on International Women’s Day!
I am a Les Misérables obsessive fan- it is quite hard to describe what the story is about

Yay, you must be excited for the show (assuming you like adaptations of course…) I think I might try it out even though I’m not a historical fiction buff!

My love of Les Misérables began with the film of the musical- then soon saw the actual stage show, which I saw 5 times. So I am very familiar with the musical adaptation of the book.

I didn’t know there was a new Les Misérables coming and I’M EXCITED. I loved Johnny Flynn in the Vanity Fair adaption and Lily Collins is lovely.
