A few months ago one of my favourite bloggers Alexandra at readingbystarlight kindly nominated me for The Versatile Blogger Award. Thank you for tagging me Alexandra! Side note, be sure to check out Alex’s blog if you get the chance, she’s one of the loveliest bloggers in this community!

The Versatile Blogger Award has a few simple rules….

  • Thank the person who nominated you (✓)
  • Leave a link to their blog (✓)
  • Tell us 7 things about yourself
  • Nominate 15 bloggers/bloggers you’ve discovered recently or follow regularly

Here are seven things about me:

I’m a serial second hand shopper…

Strictly for clothes, because I love shopping but don’t love spending a lot of money on clothes. (I have to consider how much of a messy eater I am, investing in $$$ pieces is a dangerous bet for me.) I also love finding clothes and altering them to create something slightly unique. I also like to to pretend I’m Micarah Tewers when I do this (aka my favourite YouTuber).

I’m kind a of Movie Lover…

I’m hesitant to say I’m a cinephile, because I don’t actively engage in discussing, comparing or analysing movies (I probably do this mildly), but I’m comfortable with movie lover and it’s true! Going to the movies is one of my favourite things to do and I love the novelty of getting lunch or dinner beforehand… it seriously hasn’t gotten old. I love the movies so much I even got a job at a movie theatre. So there you go, you know how I spend my weekends!

I love to dance…

That statement doesn’t infer that I’m a good dancer, just that I really love to dance. I did Calisthenics for nearly 10 years and love dancing with my friends in general. It’s just a therapeutic thing for the soul!

I’m slightly obsessed with The Sims (3)….

I’ve been a Sims fanatic since The Sims 2, but when The Sims 3 came out, that gameplay took my obsession to a whole other level. It’s the only gaming community I’m actively in. I retired from Skyrim years ago, but we’ll probably rejoin it when the next Elder Scrolls is release. Oh and the Harry Potter RPG, (if that’s even real?) I can’t wait for the either.

So I bide my time playing Sims and watching Sims 3 related videos on YouTube Yikes, I can’t believe I’m admitting this online, if you’re reading this and you relate you better comment and make me feel normal! 😂

I have Greek Heritage…

My background is predominantly Greek! This year I’m trying to learn the language as well. Which is so far proving to be difficult, because learning languages is not my forte. But I’m going to keep trying even when I fall out of a routine, because I’d love to be conversationally fluent enough to travel around the islands one day and visit the town where most of my family is from.

I majored is Marketing…

I majored in Marketing at University and I’m currently doing an internship based in Marketing! I’m definitely enjoying this industry so far and I’m eager to learn more.

I genuinely think reading kind my life…

After I began reading FanFiction at 16 (another thing I can’t believe I’m admitting to the internet), it prompted me to pick up a book. I came across The Fault in Our Stars at my school library and picked it up because the blue in the cover looked nice. I then fell in love with reading and kept picking up book after book, according to what was popular on BookTube.

Little did I know how much my grades would improve and how my conversational skills improved, which in turn helped my social anxiety. Before reading I was incredibly shy and struggled to talk to people outside my immediate family and three best friends LOL. Reading really is the best thing in the world!

  1. Oh my gosh, Carly – how did I miss this tag?! This is the loveliest thing EVER! ❤ Thank you!

I loved reading more about you 😀 How cool that you have Greek heritage! The majority of my heritage is Scottish and the only thing I don't like about that is I don't have another language I could learn as a part of my family history (although, on second thought, when hearing truly Scottish people speak, I can't really understand them at all – so maybe it IS a different language!).

It's especially awesome to hear how reading absolutely changed your life 🙂 I've been a big reader since I was reeeeeally small (I have an older sister and when she was reading at 6, and I was 3/4, I got jealous and learned to read XD) so I can't tell how it changed my life that much, but I also can't imagine my life WITHOUT reading.

Thanks so much, again, for the tag – Kyle and I will participate PRONTO! 😀 Have a lovely weekend! ❤

  2. I love secondhand shopping too! I buy way too much clothes and buying them secondhand makes me feel slightly better about it – cause it’s cheaper and better for the environment! I love secondhand books too ❤️ Thank you so much for tagging me!
