Hello book lovers! I’m back with another currently reading post inspired the weekly WWW meme that Taking on a World of Words hosts. I’m a serial TBR maker because they help me stay on track with my reading goals so much, as well as helping me figure out what books I have access too from either the library or kindle unlimited that month!
This book wasn’t on my May TBR, but a lot of those books weren’t available from my digital library or Kindle Unlimited. I have been wanting to read more Mariana Zapata and because she has so many books on KU I decided to go with The Wall of Winnipeg and Me! I’m half way through it and the slow burn… wow. I don’t think I’ve read anything as slow burn as this, and I’ve read From Lukov with Love by this author π
Honestly I’m not ready for this book, I’m worried my children aren’t all going to make it out and I’m SO nervous.
I just finished my first Sandhya Menon book and honestly this was such a gem. Books like this, with amazing representing and subtle messaging that gets the reader thinking, but doesn’t bog down the story too much, is why I keep coming back to YA Contemporary. Not a perfect read, as it is very Young Adult and lacking usual angst that I like, but still very sweet and I loved the body positivity here. 16 year old me would have ADORED this book.
I’m so so excited to start a new series and I’ve definitely been wanting something set in space. Especially after watching all 5 seasons of The 100 in like… a week π.
What are you reading this weekend? Are you starting something new or finishing a book?
