Hyping All of the Curvy Babe books on my TBR Right now

Okay yadda yadda, reading about curvy girls falling in love is a cornerstone of this blog, “we get it” I hear you all murmur. Well it’s not enough until I say it is. So let me hype these 15 something books for you all, but mostly for myself. Let’s make it fun and I’ll challenge myself to read all of them this year too.

New year, new series – January 2021 TBR

New year, new series – January 2021 TBR

2020 was a rough year for me, just like I’m sure it was for every other person. I’d bet good money I’m not the only one glad to see the other side of 2020. Even though I don’t think it’s ever good to wish time away, I’m really ready for a new year and to focus on writing, reading and finding happiness in those two things again.

As we’re beginning the new year (which by the way, has already been made thanks to Harry Styles and Phoebe Waller-Bridge) I have to admit I’m just an absolute sucker for setting resolutions, new beginnings and new goals. I’m just one of those people that loves ticking things off to-do lists and just an overall fan of structure in general. When it comes to my reading life that’s no exception.

For the first month of 2021, I want to start tackling the series that I’ve had culminating on my TBR shelf for a while. I have 10 first books in a series I’ve selected that I’m excited to pick up. Am I expecting to finish all 10? Unlikely, but I’m excited about the pool of choices I’ve selected for myself.

Sequel September – My September Reading Plans

Sequel September – My September Reading Plans

I love using alliteration to help drive my monthly reading goals. Last year, I did Sequel September with all my fantasy sequels and it was really successful! I want to replicate that success and read a few more tomes this month with some of the fantasy series I need to catch up on. Of course there’ll be romances and thrillers peppered along the way!

Thrillers and KU Romance Books – My August Reading Plans

Thrillers and KU Romance Books – My August Reading Plans

For most of June and July, my reading life was really dry and boring. In the last week or so, I’ve been adding way too many books to my to-read pile. But I’ve rationalised my recklessness because it’s made me excited to pick up books again.

A lot of those books added to my to-read pile were thrillers. I think because we’re getting closer to October my priorities seem to be shifting and I just want to read more spooky things! I also started a Kindle Unlimited subscription because my library is closed. Now I desperately need to make use of that subscription.

JUNE READING PLANS

JUNE READING PLANS

Hello to my fellow bloggers and bookworms. Today, I’d like to go through some of the books I’m looking forward to read in June.

First of all, it feels inappropriate to not acknowledge what has happened in America over the past week. I believe that protesting racism and systematic oppression is as much of the responsibility of white people, if not more, than people of colour.

As someone who doesn’t live in America, I cannot protest with you. I can however, access resources that are available to me digitally. Starting this month, I’d like to read more non-fiction books to educate myself, so I can become a better ally. I hope some of you will join me in this endeavour.
