MY FAVOURITE RAINY DAY READS

I love how the discussion of Rainy Day Reads comes around seasonally. Of course, this topic can be interpreted differently by every reader, but that’s what makes it so much fun!

For me, my ideal rainy day read is simply something I find comfort in. Hearty books that aren’t too dense and don’t require using a lot of brain power to read. They might have fluffy romances & colourful characters that come off the page. This is what Rainy Day Reads are made for, at least in my world.

GOODREADS

Merry Inkmas is a short, feel good holiday romance story following Bailey and Cash. Bailey is a strong willed, adorably nerdy and plus sized goddess working in a coffee shop whilst studying psychology. Determined to learn from her mother’s mistakes, Bailey insists she won’t sacrifice self-respect for any relationship. When Cash enters her life, a bad boy with a heart of gold, she finds herself wondering if this beast might be her prince Charming.

Cash Evans is tattoo artist with a troubled childhood, and a very flirty customer of Bailey’s. He’s come a long way and amassed wealth from his skills as an artist, but this can’t fix the hole in his heart. Cash knows that the sweet barista who haunts his dreams is off-limits… But life doesn’t always go to plan.

MY CURRENT FAVOURITE ROMANCE NOVELS

More often than not, romance books get a pretty bad rep for reasons such as their cheesy titles, soft porn covers and myriad of clichéd tropes.

I really enjoy books with romance as a strong subplot. (Six of Crows, anyone?) I typically don’t gravitate towards Romance as a genre. However February is a great time to appreciate the few romance books I’ve read and loved.

Don’t forget to let me know in the comment section if you’ve read any of these books or whether you can recommend some steamy romance books to me! 😜
